An old phone scam, and a particularly clever one at that, appears to be making the rounds again. What makes this one tricky is the caller will only ask you for one small piece of information: the 3 digit security code on the back of your credit card. The rest of your personal information (street address, phone number, and sometimes credit card number), they already have access to. There are reports of a series of emails going out that are disguised to appear as coming from the IRS (Internal Revenue Service). Please disregard these emails and don't click on any links contained within. They are phishing emails designed to steal your personal information.... read more »
It's just been brought to our attention that phishing emails (malicious emails where a user tries to get you to click a legitimate looking link that takes you to a website disguised as a familiar entity (ie.
