Dashlane Reviews from customers
Below are some reviews from Dashlane customers. We’ve found a couple positive and a couple negative to show you an even balance of what customers are saying about the service.
My favorite part about this app, is that Dashlane doesn’t have access to my information. Yes, they keep the data, but it’s encrypted even from them. Unless you have the master password, good luck trying to hack it. -Sean G., Amazon 7/23/2013
Brilliant! Dashlane is great for anyone who struggles to remember their passwords or has the same password for everything. The password generator is really handy as well. -Luke H., Google Play 2/16/2015
I got this for passwords-and purchased a premium plan. I have had nothing but problems with this software. It periodically just “stops working” for no reason. I have tried it in both Firefox and Chrome-and when it DOES stop working you cannot open the program on your desktop without rebooting your system-which is a hassle when you have the “safe passwords” saved IN the program. -Taliesen, Amazon 12/1/2014
Dashlane servers went down recently and left me unable to access my passwords for most of a day. They don’t have a way to bypass contacting servers and let you use locally saved password archive. Until they fix this, you are out of luck if their servers go down. -Timothy B., PC MAG 2/2015
Digital Wallet – Allows you to safely store your payment options in Dashlane’s online wallet. This makes purchasing items online faster because you can have it automatically form fill itself. You don’t have to store payment types on sites anymore and worry about your credit card being stolen if the site gets hacked.
Security – This company takes security seriously. They use AES-256 encryption, which is the world’s standard for encryption and is the strongest encryption available. To access your stored passwords you use a master password which is not recorded anywhere, only in your head. You can have your encrypted data stored locally on your device or sync with all your devices. Lastly, for added protection you can enable 2-factor authentication.
Password Changer – This is a newer feature offered by Dashlane that sets them apart from the competition. It allows you to mass update your passwords quickly to save you time while also making those passwords more secure. Learn about the Password Changer below in this video. This feature would be very useful if another mass data breach were to occur like it did with Heartbleed.
